The short answer

Consent is managed by Termly. Optional tools wait. Necessary site function (security, load, the consent record itself) can run without a choice. Optional tools — including tawk.to live chat — stay blocked until you accept the matching Termly category. Reopen that choice any time with Cookie Settings in the footer. Do not send card numbers in chat or through the quote form.

Google Fonts loads from Google's servers. Quote requests are stored in our Cloudflare D1 database and emailed through Resend. We do not run advertising pixels or sell personal information.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to save on your device. Sites use them to remember things — that you're logged in, what's in your cart, which language you picked — and some companies use them to recognize you across different websites for advertising. Browsers offer similar storage features (localStorage and sessionStorage) that do much the same job. Plenty of legitimate sites need these tools to work. We use them only where needed for consent, security, and — if you accept — live chat.

Third-party requests your browser makes

Managing consent doesn't mean your browser talks to no one. Delivering any website involves a few routine, automatic requests. Here is every third party involved when you visit smallpetcarriers.com:

Hosting, fonts, and Termly load with the page. tawk.to stays blocked until you accept. If you email us, Migadu handles @smallpetcarriers.com mail in the ordinary course of delivering messages. We do not run advertising pixels.

Fit guide and quote builder

The Fit Guide weight slider and the live estimate on the quote form still run in your browser while you use them. Fit Guide weight never leaves your device.

When you press submit on the quote form, those details — name, email, organization, quantities, and notes — are stored in Cloudflare D1 and emailed through Resend so a person at the shop can reply. The form rejects likely card numbers before that write. If you never press submit, the estimate stays on your device.

If this ever changes

Termly already shows a consent choice. If we add another optional tool — analytics, for example — two things happen first:

1. We update this policy with a new "last updated" date and a plain-English description of exactly what would be set and why.
2. Termly AutoBlocker keeps that tool off until you accept the matching category. Declining never locks you out of quotes, the fit guide, or shell pages.

Reopen Cookie Settings in the footer at any time. We do not run advertising pixels.

How to control cookies anyway

Use Cookie Settings in the footer to accept or decline optional tools, including tawk.to. Browsers also let you block or delete cookies:

• Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
• Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Safari — Settings (or Preferences) → Privacy → Block all cookies
• Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Declining optional tools does not lock you out of quotes, the fit guide, or shell pages. Live chat only appears if you accept that category.
